We are excited to invite you to host an activity before or after dinner to bring some extra joy to families!
Brighten the day for our families with this wonderful opportunity!
Family Fun Night Hosts can choose from a variety of activities we have in-house or bring your own activity that families and their children can participate in after a day at the hospital. Examples of activities are (but not limited to): Bingo, Karaoke, Game Night, and Arts & Crafts.
If you’re interested in hosting an activity, please reach out to volunteers@rmhc-memphis.org to request your preferred date and time.
What to Know Information:
- Hosting opportunities are available Monday – Thursday. Please arrive 30 minutes before the event to set up.
- Up to 10 individuals are able to host.
- Minimum age to volunteer is 13. A ratio of 2:5 adult to youth should be present.
- If you are not using an in-house provided activity, Ronald McDonald House must approve the selected activity. The host is responsible to supply materials for all families.
- Background checks required. Individuals with incomplete submissions or unapproved reports will not be authorized to participate.
- The following items are not permitted to be used as supplies, prizes, decorations, etc.: latex balloons, bubbles, candles, stuffed animals, and religious/faith-based items.
- Photos or videos with families are not allowed to protect HIPPA rights.
Important: The families who call Ronald McDonald House home have children who have a weakened immune system. Any person exposed to contagious diseases or who have flu like symptoms in the past two weeks should not visit. DO NOT visit if you have a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit on the day of the event. If needed, events can be rescheduled.
